Biography
Francesco was born in 1823 to Calogero La Sala and Anna Giambalvo [1]. In 1857 at age 34, he married 26-year-old Vita Campisi [2]. He was widowed, date unknown, and married again in 1872 at age 49 to 45-year-old widow Antonia Roccaforte [3]. Francesco's marriage records indicate that he was a shepherd.
